Hi everyone! My name is Demi Becton and I am a first year teacher! I just graduated from the University of Louisville where I majored in elementary education with a concentration in learning and behavior disorders. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, there was never any question in my mind that I wanted to grow up and spend all my time with kids! I filled my college years with cheerleading, a sorority, different clubs and honors societies, friends, an amazing boyfriend, and lots of memories! I am now going to be teaching first grade and I am excited and terrified all at the same time! Teaching blogs are what give me my ideas and make me more excited about my profession, so I am excited to join that blogging community! I will be posting about resources, lessons, challenges, and accomplishments that happen throughout my first year and beyond! Happy reading!
A few facts about me:
1. I love God, my great family, friends, and my amazing boyfriend
2. Cheerleading was my whole life from the time I was 10 years old until I finished college
3. I traveled to Africa and worked with preschool aged children the summer of 2013, and left a piece of my heart there
4. The beach is my favorite place in the whole world
5. I am beyond excited to finally be a first grade teacher!! :)
